Hi all,

How much is a good and fair offer of a referral fee for an online game when one of your players has another player they want to bring in? If it matters (which I assume the fee is relative?), its 1/2 that plays pretty deep and has $1 cap at NLH and $2 at PLO. I've been hearing lots and lots of different opinions and I really just want to figure out what is normal.

Thanks!

So the person that is organizing the game is supposed to pay the referral fee to a regular who brings someone new into the game?

That sounds crazy. I host regularly, if one of my regs asked for a referral fee I'd probably uninvite them from my game.

Yea, I have heard of spacing payout over the first few games so the system isn't easily taken advantage of.

It’s a raked game. If it isn’t bringing in new players it is dying.

Definitely check out 2+2. I think $100 is standard too. But usually some of it will go to the reg. 75% goes to the new player and 25% to the reg, but I've seen even splits too.

Since it's an online club, lots of ways you could go about this, I've seen better rakeback offers, 3 game incentives, bonus $$ for add ons etc. Best of luck figuring it out, it's a pain in the ass finding the best solution.
