Just curious how this works....

Do any of the "If split, I'm interested in... depending on price" actually reserve any of the racks/barrels like a "Dibs" if the owner does indeed split up the set?

Or is the above statement just an indicator to the owner that you have takers if you think you might split up the set? And then the real "Dibs" madness begins once the owner decides to split it up?

To me statements like what you posted give buyers no rights at all. With that said, this is completely up to the seller. Buyers of partial amounts would like to think that a statement like that gives them some standing, but in sales like this one where the seller has not indicated a willingness to split or put up split pricing how can it?

It is nice though for everyone. Seller gets to see if there is enough interest to get the whole thing done and buyers can coordinate with other interested parties to work out the details etc.

This is exactly I did what I did. Sometimes the only way to get what you want is to just grab the whole set and sell what you don't want/need. Some of these will show up again here in the classifieds.
