What is your ideal starting chip breakdown for a t15000 tournament starting stack? Personally I like a lot of chips on the table so I have been using a 12/12/9/9 t25/t100/t500/t1k breakdown. Anyone have any other suggestions, or does this seem ideal to you?

Assume an unlimited quantity of any denomination is available. Also assume blinds start at 25-50 and there are antes that will begin at the second 100-200 level(t25).

Would you change the stacks if there was no ante ever?

Thanks

12/12/15/3 T25/T100/T500/T2k. 12/12/11/4 is probably more practical for your typical breakdown though - 15 per is a lot of T500s. :D

I'm really not a fan of antes, especially antes that start with T25s. I would PREFER to use a more minimal amount of T25s, and get them off the table as soon as possible, as they have approximately zero effect on the outcome of the tournament. Without the antes, 8/13/x/x.

T15k stacks are a no-brainer: 12/12/5/11, 40 chips / two barrels. 400 chips per table. Plenty of chips in play (even with antes), and just right on the T500 quantities (gonna need those for antes, too).

For our single-table Championship, we use 20/20/15/5 as the T15k base (60 chips), and add T1000 chips based on the regular season point standings. My starting stack next Saturday is T55K, which is 20/20/15/45 = 100 chips. T5000s are used for all color-ups.
