If only we could get this kind of traction on some of the group buys here... (1 Viewer)

Say "luxury game counters" one more time, and I'll punch you in the throat, Gavan!

To be fair, they're aimed at gamers, not poker players. I guess I can forgive the weird breakdown and bad color selection.

And they are only charging you $30 to customize the breakdown. I'm a board gamer and have used those chips to play Brass before. They are adequate.

It just shows how small this custom market is.
I thinks it’s more a lack of visibility/marketing. A good design on a proper ceramic blank could get the same sort of traction with the right marketing focus. These are not much less than the semi-custom group buy price earlier this year and are way worse chips

I have them as well and while I really like them they are like wet soap. I was trying to shoot a video and while holding my phone I grabbed a stack and actually shot one all the way across the room!

Sanding them worked wonders:

They're the reason I'm currently reading this site while holding samples of Pharaohs and Progen 80s :D.

I saw the kickstarter and thought it would be a nice upgrade from the dice chips I'm using. But when I saw some in real live, I found they were really really slippery and I think the different nominations look too much alike.

:(

I was hoping it was the video of the chip taking flight.

I would consider these for my board gaming needs but the 1s and 5s are too close in color and the breakdown isn't what I would like. Paying extra to make it custom puts the price too high. I like the wood case but way overpriced IMO. I'd rather label some starburst and do it right
