Not sure what to make of this. Cleaning it seems it make them worse, maybe?
Curious what others see.

Fwiw, these two chips were cleaned exactly the same way - soak in tsp substitute, dish soap and warm water, for 7 min, then scrubbed with hard bristle kitchen dish scrubber. So I don’t think it’s the cleaning that’s causing it?

Ours had pink on it too. Ben had a horrible time getting it to come off I think

Did he get the pink off eventually? I gave it a few extra scrubs and when that didn’t work, I hammered it with the mr. Clean eraser, which may have made it worse, and then I just said screw it and moved on.

From his extremely displeased response, I would say not very successfully

Had the same thing on sample sets, haven’t got my main ones yet but I suspect they’re all like that. Didn’t really pay that much attention to it after I threw one of them in the ultrasonic though. I’ll go check it out and let you know.

This one was initially hand cleaned and went into the US later. Transfer is still there. I don’t remember what it looked like before cleaning.

All hand cleaning for me and still a royal pain! When I get my barrel I am going to try cool water and dish soap only like with hot stamps and see if it reduces the transfer. It is definitely from the colors running into each other, it takes forever but you can get it off of them.

For cleaning color transfer, try a Magic Eraser
Yeah, as I said, that’s what seemed to make it worse. But I suppose if I erased only in a radius direction, following those spots north to south (almost like sanding with the grain,) it might be more effective.

I agree, it makes worse no matter the direction of scrubbing. I still use a magic eraser to remove the grimes and dirt on the chip, but not expecting the color transfer to be any better.
In the past, this really annoyed me, so I tried various methods. 2000 sandpaper, hand sanitizer, eraser, or anything people can think of, none worked out. Now, I see people having the same problems plus experience with Tunica Roadhouse, I'm good now.

message me your phone number and I’ll message you the video I took and you can share it
