I got a rack of these a few months ago for $40. They are similar to the Paranoids type of material.

I saw these and thought “Cool, maybe I can put together a playable set of these.”

Well the $100 price is mis-leading. Come to find out this guy wants to “make a little profit” so he offered these at $7/ chip.

Here is some information about the chips and the history. Me and the seller share a love for history but, even if these chips were in the Bible and Jesus ran the original group buy, I wouldn’t pay a ton for these.

I offered $200 for the set.

Here’s what happened imo:

Dude loves history, not poker chips. He knew about these chips from his digging into books about Jewish people.

He snapped them at an auction thinking that the history of the chips will net a high return.

He priced them against other vintage chips on eBay. Probably won the auction for $300-$500 for the chips.

He wants to make a profit on his investment. A very LARGE profit.

Oh yeah. I got the whole deal too. Even offered to get me more Saratoga illegals. At that price, I’d need to be a mobster myself to afford them.
