Up for sale, Illegal Club Belvidere, Springfield IL, Poker Gambling Chips (22). Club Belvedere in the Club Belvidere building at 1510 E. Taft Street, Springfield, Illinois. It changed its name some half-dozen times during the period 1944-1962, probably due to losing its liquor license and being closed down and reopened. In 1953 it was known as Club Capitol. See Newspaper ad for "Club Belvidere" (as it was spelled in 1952) (not included). From 1944 to 1952 it was known as Club Belvidere. Manufactured By Taylor & Co. (Chicago) using T Mold. All chips show signs of use but are in excellent condition (see photos) considering the age. These chips were issued in 1945 as near as I can estimate. Rare to find these in this quantity. Chips only (other images for reference only). I have 3 groups of 22 chips (I have 1 extra that is cracked and substandard, will throw it into one of the groups). PPFF or add 3.5% Or will trade for a barrel of JACK Cincy Secondary $1000's |
