Two Pair
Greetings,
I started playing poker back in college, just a few games here and there with friends. But when I bought my house, I thought it would be lots of fun to host a poker night. Thats when I realized I needed some poker chips. Back in college we always played with "dice" chips, and I wanted a step up to make the game feel more authentic. I went to my local billiards/gameroom shop and they had some chips that kinda had that authentic look... you know the nexgens... so i bought them.
Not more than getting home with them did I have buyers remorse. they felt cheep and plasticy so... and this is where my problem/obsession began. I started researching poker chips, and wanted to find out how to acquire real chips. I finally found out the chips I wanted were Paulson!
But chips are a strange thing. Even after buying plenty of real chips for my home games .. Small as they are... I still want more. I love the uniqueness of each set, different color combos, types and styles.
Is there such thing as too many poker chips? All I know is I need more.
professionally i'm a guitarist, but love the strategy behind poker and am obsessed with getting more chips (both on and off the poker table)
I joined this form last fall, and everyone here has been very supportive, and helpful.
