Continuing a walk down poker chip memory lane. My very first pick-ups (aside from sample sets) were the WTH&C I mentioned the other day.

Next I started building an Indiana Aztar set. I'm from Indiana, so it seemed neat to have a set from a casino nearby. They weren't super expensive either, which was great. Before long they were our primary chip, and are probably still my group's favorite chips to play with.

I've never picked up many of the 500s or 1000s, but I have a few odds and ends. Maybe at some point -- would be neat to round out the set with them.

I actually ended up primarily using the 25s from another set... which I'll post about next. I don't mind the Aztar 25s, but I found some others that popped just a little bit more.

All that I have of the higher denoms.

While I'm at it, I also have one rack of 5 secondaries. I like the different look of them, but I've never gotten around to building up enough of them or anything. Definitely something in the back of my mind.

You really can't go wrong with Aztars. I'm happy with it as my first set -- thought it definitely sold me on the value of casino Paulsons. I know I'm not alone :)

From here I began filling out some other Paulson and casino chip sets. I'll get some more photos taken and put those up soon.

Anyone else out there with Aztar sets that see regular play? I know they aren't as sexy as some other sets out there, but they've always worked well for me and my group.

haven't put mine in regular play, but I am using the Indiana 5's with the Caruthersville set

Yup... for both cash games and tournaments. The tourney set was recently used in a 29 person charity event last Feb. Will be hosting another event this summer. Cash get use too regularly. 1150 cash chips and 1800 tourney chips. Yellow roulette chips are used as 1k chips for bigger tourneys as I only have 60 of the real ones :) I love them...not the most glamorous label design but the colors are great.

I have a 980 chip Indiana Aztar set I'm looking to round out to 1,000 in the near future. 100 relabeled GC 1s as .25, 200 secondary 1s, 400 primary 5s, 200 primary 25s, 60 secondary 100s, 20 primary 100s.
