First, I apologize in advance if this is the incorrect place for these to exist within PCF. Mods, please feel free to move or delete, if so, and I will recreate in the appropriate place you tell me to.

I'd like to gauge interest in some custom wooden racks I've learned how to build over the last couple of months. I will be potentially making two types available, in a couple of different options (shown in images below). The trays measure 9.5" in length, and 3.25" in width. The barrels themselves are 2.75" long, accommodating both Paulsons or Chipcos nicely. The trays will stack vertically, and are relatively stable (I've stacked 4 and nudged them side to side without them falling) thanks to the routed underside grooves and intact edges.

I use a Tung Oil finish on them, which provides great protection from liquids (including alcohol), without having any strong odors like lacquers or polyurethanes.

Let me know if you'd be interested, what type you'd be interested in, and how many. This is just an interest thread. I plan to gauge interest first, and then decide how to handle orders, as I would need to make them first :)

Ok here they are:

Option 1: One color, Curly Cherry racks, $60 for two plus shipping on entire order. Can be made with closing magnets* for an additional $5 per pair.

*Caveat: Due to natural variance in the production process, racks with magnets won't close perfectly if they weren't cut from the same piece of wood. For example, if you order 4 racks with magnets and try to put two together that weren't built as a pair, they won't fit perfectly together. To minimize this problem, I will ship them with labels to indicate the pairs.

Gorgeous! I’d be in if i could afford buying enough racks for all my chips. :ROFLMAO: Love them nevertheless. Great work!

They are VERY VERY nice. Great work!

When you mention the price for 2 you mean a pair (as in up and down) or 2 pairs (i.e 4 racks?)

also would prices drop if total interest are important

Thanks for the kind words.

I mean two individual racks (one pair up and down)

Regarding price, I think the price reflects the amount of labor involved to make a quality piece. Depending on how the interest thread goes I may consider a small discount for larger orders.

Can you do a wood rack for 3 barrels (60) of 43 mm chips instead of 5 barrels? I’d need 5 of these types of racks.

These are beautiful. I'm kind of on the fence. I do like nice things (and these are very nice), but they are slightly impractical for storing a complete set. Using them to just move chips from one room to the next would be overkill.

But is someone has racks of chips on display, (@k9dr ) these should be a serious consideration.

...also, depending on how much interest you drum up, I would suggest becoming a site vendor.

Innnteresting... It could be done, but I would need to experiment a bit to get the dimensions right.

I do have a single 43 mm horseshoe 25k thanks to @SemiNumerical I could test with.. I’ll get back to you if I end up doing 43 mm racks

I’m super interested just won’t be able to purchase for a month or so as I’m in the processes of moving back to the states from Japan.
No worries, probably won’t start making orders for a couple of weeks anyway. Good luck with the move!

Thanks for the interest so far. I’ll keep this thread open for a few days and let everyone know if I have enough interest to make some more.
