First, I apologize in advance if this is the incorrect place for these to exist within PCF. Mods, please feel free to move or delete, if so, and I will recreate in the appropriate place you tell me to.
I'd like to gauge interest in some custom wooden racks I've learned how to build over the last couple of months. I will be potentially making two types available, in a couple of different options (shown in images below). The trays measure 9.5" in length, and 3.25" in width. The barrels themselves are 2.75" long, accommodating both Paulsons or Chipcos nicely. The trays will stack vertically, and are relatively stable (I've stacked 4 and nudged them side to side without them falling) thanks to the routed underside grooves and intact edges.
I use a Tung Oil finish on them, which provides great protection from liquids (including alcohol), without having any strong odors like lacquers or polyurethanes.
Let me know if you'd be interested, what type you'd be interested in, and how many. This is just an interest thread. I plan to gauge interest first, and then decide how to handle orders, as I would need to make them first
Ok here they are:
Option 1: One color, Curly Cherry racks, $60 for two plus shipping on entire order. Can be made with closing magnets* for an additional $5 per pair.
Option 2: Two toned, Curly Maple + Black Walnut racks, $70 for two plus shipping for entire order. Can be made with closing magnets* for an additional $5 per pair.
*Caveat: Due to natural variance in the production process, racks with magnets won't close perfectly if they weren't cut from the same piece of wood. For example, if you order 4 racks with magnets and try to put two together that weren't built as a pair, they won't fit perfectly together. To minimize this problem, I will ship them with labels to indicate the pairs.
