Interested in joining the CCGT&CC? Now's a good time! (1 Viewer)

If you're a chip collector and have been curious about joining the Casino Collectibles Association (previously known as the CCGT&CC), now might be a good opportunity to do so - you can do it for only $15.

Take a look at the club president's post here for details:

Have they considered updating the format of the website? I wouldn't say i'm a single chip collector, but i know theres a few topics/ posts i've been interested in, but i have a really hard time navigating the site.

They have, and it's somewhat regularly discussed with members of their Board of Directors. I'm not going to get into detail here. Let it suffice to say that they are aware of the shortcomings of what they use currently, but there are reasons they haven't yet switched to a different forum/bb platform.

But the offer, made a week ago, was only good for the first ten new members, and there's no way to tell if it's still valid.

Just heard back from the club president. Not only is the offer valid, but it was extended to include additional memberships. As of today there are 18 slots still available for the $15 offer.

Is this a one time membership fee or an annual recurring fee ?
Sorry for the late reply, mate...slipped my mind.

Continuing membership in the club requires annual dues. This offer is for half-price on the first year only. Each year after that you have to re-up (they won't automatically submit a charge to your card or anything like that). After a certain amount of consecutive years of membership you then become eligible to be a lifetime member if you'd like, at which point you can pay a larger, pro-rated, final payment to them based on your age - the older you are, the less you pay.

Tell them to take the money and update the website. It burns my retinas and therefore you couldn't pay me to go on the site much less pay them. Reminds me of a blue wall....not sure why. :whistling:

I don't care for the BBS they use, either, and it appears the creator is no longer making updates for it. Trust me - they're aware of the complaints. Hopefully something is done soon. That being said, even if the association updates the actual club board to use something different, The Chip Board does *not* belong to the club and is independently owned. Even though TCB is where a significant amount of activity occurs, the CCA only has direct control over the software on its own site.

I was going to join last month. I sent an email to the president asking about available slot and the email got kicked back. I forgot about it and Never emailed again

I get the feeling there are more productive ways to spend $15. Just my rookie observation so if someone can enlighten me I am happy to learn the benefits other than needing eyeglasses to read posts from the 1980's bulletin board.
