I personally wouldn't pay that for a used ceramic set without denoms... especially given @navels current sale. I also personally don't put any stock into the case, didn't even consider it as part of the cost if I'm honest.

Not a horrible deal, but certainly not a snap buy.

Chipco price is hugely variable from 10c to over $1 per chip. Just like any chip, wear, desirability and availability all impact the price. Given that GOCC (when they were in operation) would make you new ceramics on the Protech blank for under $1 per chip (~63c for >2000), then 50c a chip suddenly doesn't sound so great fur used chips.
