I'm fairly new at collecting chips. Is BCC closed? I love the look of their solid Grand Cardroom chips. anyone know if they are frequently for sale on the classified board? Any information would be appreciated.

Yes, out of the home market business. Bought by GPI.

Grand cardrooms come up for sale every now and then :)

Edit the title. :).

BBC (from the thread title) is the British Broadcasting Corporation, home of Dr. Who (that's his Tardis in the picture). BCC is the chip manufacturer.

Got it, can someone quickly explain how to edit my post so I don't embarrass myself further...?

I know of a spotted set of the Grand Cardroom chips currently for sale....
 :whistling:

...and welcome to PCF!

^^^ Feckin' 'ell. 5000 minimum for custom orders, with inlayed spotted chips at like $0.80 per? Hotstamped spotted chips $0.60 per? I'll take a 1000 chip tourney set and the mother of all cash sets please, Dennis.

Then I woke up.

Sigh.

Are those the TRK numbers?!? What did BCC run, back in the day?

Towards the end, it was about 85c hot-stamped and 95c w/inlays, no surcharge on spot configurations. Typically a 5000 chip minimum, hence the spawning of several group buy efforts. Molds other than flame usually incurred a small mold rental fee. Semi-custom Paulson hot-stamps on the suits mold were going for about $1.05 at the time.
