Is this company still selling custom clay chips? (1 Viewer)

If you have the illustrator file, they may. Hopefully it's a version they can still open.

I don't believe I do.

I just spoke with them and the guy told me to email a picture of the chips and he'll see if he could find it.

Looks like the mold I have aren't in production anymore anyway.

Roman border - Not currently available (future undecided).

Bummer.

Yeah it went out of production a while ago unfortunately. Last it was discussed the repairs were prohibitively expensive.

Have pics of your chips?

I see.

I can post pics when I get home from work.

(damn, I feel old now)

Why is is that other site still up with pricing?

They're morons. I posted someplace else (maybe in the main CPC questions thread?) that I actually did submit a request on their site for a giant order of chips and heard literally nothing from them. You would think that if someone attempts to place an order or requests a quote for a huge order you would have a sales guy at least reach out to the customer to try to make something happen even if you couldn't meet whatever out-of-date price point you had accidentally advertised.

I can post pics when I get home from work.

Awesome!

Here are my chips...

I ordered a custom set from this site like 9 years ago. I wanted to add some additional chips to my set but when I called they said that production had been suspended. They were very vague about it. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

iirc, ASM sold (or otherwise somehow lost) the pokerchips.com web site -- that is/was another different company, who resold ASM chips at one point in the past. They never were very upfront about not actually making the chips themselves.

This is my understanding as well.

@ohio3302016: Nice chips! Considering the uncertain future of the roman mold, you might consider ordering a sample of the various molds to see which other mold would look and feel the best with your existing set, and ask @David Spragg for his input regarding a compatible mold. Good luck!

I ordered from them like 10+ years ago too and they just put stickers on the inlays. I just thought that's how it was done until I ordered from ASM Vegas and the inlays for them aren't inlays aren't stickers, they're actually molded into the chip.

Pokerchips.com customer service was also below average back then but even with the new ownership as someone pointed out, it doesn't seem like it's gotten much better.

I recently (few months ago) went online and placed an order for an acrylic case with 10 trays (bc I ordered one from them 10 years ago when I ordered my chips and was happy with the case). Literally after weeks had gone by and not one form of communication from them (even after I emailed asking for a status) I sent them a second emai saying please
cancel my order since you haven't responded and I still haven't received my order...didn't even get a reply to that email either.

My advice would be to do what abby99 said and reach out to David at CPC (www.classicpokerchips.com). He's very nice and their customer service is exceptional, not to mention their chips are amazing.

Following Abby's message, maybe the square in circle mold will be closest to the roman? This was discussed recently in one of the Rounders chip threads...

That mold will be active in June so there's some time to get the artwork replicated :)
