I can't seem to find any sort of reliable answer for "Where can I find 66.7mm racks?"

I have ONE, and need 5 more minimum.. .would order 10+ if I had to.

The casino I go to had 25+ stacked up yesterday and I asked SO nicely to everyone I could but with no luck......

Spinettis sells these, which are great heavy-duty racks. These and genuine Paulson racks are by far the best quality racks out there.

They're not cheap, but the best quality stuff generally isn't.

Hmmm...found these on eBay.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/10-Poker-Chi...060333?hash=item236c5058ed:g:Tg4AAOSw-4BXa9Xr

From the description
39 MM Poker Chip Racks10 NEW clear poker chip trays.
They hold 100 chips in each tray/rack.
They are made of a clear poly carbonate material and are virtually indestructible.
Inside dimension is 2 5/8" (66.7mm.)
These racks are made to fit a chip diameter of 1 17/32" (39mm).

I haven't bought them, so I have no idea what they are actually like.

The problem with most of the cheap racks is that the two end chips in each barrel stick up a bit. If racks of chips are stacked, the weight of the top rack rests on the ten end chips in the rack below. Maybe that's not the case with these, but I've never found a cheap rack that I've been happy with. Wish I did.

I didn't think Secure Gaming Products are cheap racks? I thought they were the Casino grade ones?

"They have a clear logo on the bottom of each rack that says "Secure Gaming Products"."

With shipping those are almost 1/2 the price of Spinetti's

Another alternative might be PGI. See this post.

If shipped by an MFRB, the cost for 10 PGI racks shipped would be about $67 US to Canada. Unfortunately, with our exchange and brokerage fees ($10), it works out to just over $100, assuming you don't get hit with sales tax at the border (I always do...). That said, if you are close to the border, it might be worthwhile having them shipped to a US address and bringing them over yourself.

If you order them, please report back on their quality.

Ordered, total cost $44.64cdn ($31.62usd) for 10 racks shipped... hopefully they're decent!

I ordered 15 of the Chipco racks from PGI last month and was very happy with them. Will post a review when I get a chance.

Do they fit Paulsons snug?
Yes, I was very pleased with the PGI Chipco racks. Strong material, pretty good fit, stack well, a little wiggle room (see last pic) but the good news is that the chips on the ends of the barrels are not raised. From what I gather, these are likely 2nd best to actual Paulson racks, maybe 3rd best if you throw Spinetti racks in. Tighter fit than the 68mm for sure.

Maybe 1/16 to 1/8 inch of wiggle room, but acceptable in my book.

Good timing, I literally received them 15 minutes ago.

I'll post pictures soon, but they're nothing to look at..

But the main thing is...

THEY ARE 66.7MM RACKS! :)

They say "Secure Gaming Products" on the bottom in really legible well stamped plastic, nowhere does it say 66.7, but it is. They fit ~90% as well as the older 66.7 rack I have, but I do not have any Paulson 66.7 Racks to compare it to.

It fits my Paulson chips FAR FAR FAR better than the 68mm racks that came with my 600ct birdcage.

Still a little wobbly when stacking them though, they definitely do not stack like bricks.

The plastic is MUCH thinner than the Chipco Racks pictured above

Yes I have 200 mint PCA $1's I used. My used Empress $5's would not fit 21 per barrel but close. On the old racks they easily fit 21

@moojersey , my review is above with pics. And I could not insert a quarter into the rack, but a dime inserted snugly, so it's only about a dime's thickness too wide. I don't think you'll find much better unless you get Paulson or Spinetti racks.

Info on this page is still accurate, but where to buy racks and all of the new options aren't in this page.

There was a company called Casino Discount Supplies that used to sell the 66.7mm and 67.7mm racks. Then they disappeared completely (HPT still has their links on their site - funny).

It sounds like PGI sells racks branded with the Chipco logo now, which I'm assuming are made the same way as the originals. Their website quotes 67.1mm which falls in line with what the originals were sized as. They don't appear to sell the narrower racks that were closer to Paul-son's any more, so you may have to ask them to see if they still have some available. However, I'll list them here anyway.

Smallest to largest (based on what I have, measuring and experience):

  • Paul-son (casino paulsons)
  • Narrower Palm Gaming Int'l (same)
  • 66.7mm (casino paulsons and BCC's and bud jones)
  • Bud Jones type 1 (same + bud jones)
  • Chipco/PGI Chipco (same + chipco ceramics, and some ASMs)
  • 67.7mm (99.9999% of my ASMs and paulson home mold (ex. Avalons))
  • Bud Jones type 2 (same)
  • Cheapies and 68.7mm (dice chips, thicker ASMs, etc.)
I usually gravitate to the 66.7mm and 67.7mm racks for everything because they're made with that thicker lucite plastic that isn't as rigid that seems indestructable - similar to the original Paul-son racks and bud jones. They're all stamped with those measurements on the bottom.

Original chipcos were the most flexible racks I had ever seen. The plastic was actually flexible - almost rubbery and they had a milky opaque quality to them. They were great, but they didn't fit ASMs universally since the thickness of those can vary. That's why the 67.7mm racks ended up being the standard for those. Chipcos fit ceramics really well.

However, if you're after ones that are a bit narrower than the PGI Chipcos Apache sells the 66.7mm racks (most likely just like the originals) for $2.99:

Spinetti's says they have them and I believe them because they sport the original product numbers (ex. "crk039-66"). Casino Discount Supplies original product numbers match that.

But they're $4.50 a piece. However, you should be able to get either 66.7mm or 67.7mm racks from them. They may have taken over Casino Discount Supplies, which may explain things.

EDIT: @LabMonkey set me straight on the differences between the old and new Chipco racks. PGI went with a simpler-to-manage material but use the same mold for the racks. That means they should be the same size as the originals but aren't as flexible.

I suspect these Secure Gaming Product racks have the same teeter-totter wobble issue that is present on the PGI-branded casino racks, due to the raised logo being located in the center barrel. Chipco racks do not have this stacking problem, as the logo is in an offset barrel..

QFT. ^^^ I always find it amusing how much effort folks who spend so much money on their chips will try and save a couple of bucks here and there when it comes to the accessories, racks, cases, etc.. I kind of relate it the same as that cousin who will drive from one side of the county to the other to save .05 cent per gallon on a tank of gas. (which amount to 1.25 per tank)

Yes these are the exact same racks that Casino Discount Supplies used to sell. I'm sure they get them from the same manufacturer as I have racks form both places and they are identical (down to the boxes they ship in). To me they are just as good if not better than Paulson racks and they stack like lego bricks, solid, no sway/play at all!
