Very nice. Cant help but hear the song in my head when I see these chips

Depends on the denoms involved. $3000 is ballpark. But you don't need 600 chips for an STT, even with a reasonable number of rebuys. 450ish will do.

I joined this forum a few weeks ago, not thinking of much.
After a few days I'm making the decision to upgrade to nice ceramic hybrids.
Another two weeks pass and I'm contemplating getting a custom cpc set in the future.
Now I'm chilling in bed, thinking of ways how I could potentially explain to my gf that I want to spend 3 grand on a few chips "because I really like them" lol

Just go straight for leaded THC greatness from an all time classic set. @allforcharity is a legendary chipper who knows his CDI98s inside and out.

To be fair years ago sets changed hands more often than today. So spending X on a set generally meant you could get X or close to X when you resold down the line.

New chippers just need to be careful of overcommitting themselves financially either by 1) overpaying and guaranteeing a more substantial loss on sale or 2) being forced into a fire sale because those funds were needed for real world expenses.

The first rule of being in the Poker Chip Club...we don't tell our significant others exactly how much we are spending. You can hint, you can infer or even suggest general numbers...but we are never completely transparent grasshopper.

Nice!
At least they‘d get used!
I shuffle them daily on desk while working!

Those are pretty common around here and in quantity. Paulson produced fantasy CDI 2005’s.
