I found this thread, https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/request-for-id-help-please.123068/, a few months ago with information about some Jewish poker chips that were sold on eBay. I’ve been really curious about them ever since. I ended up buying a few of those chips myself and started researching their history. I reached out to Ed Hertel, who was amazing! He told me that the chips were used in an old Jewish gambling club in Akron, Ohio. I found more information about the club and the people who ran it, which I might share in a separate thread.

I thought the history was cool and kind of reminded me of a version of the Detroit Purple Gang. In total I was able to buy about 70–80 of those chips. Inspired by Meathooke's post about his beautiful Hollywood Club set, https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...urple-gang-the-hollywood-club-and-more.92031/ , I am now on a mission to create a full, playable set of these chips.

If anyone has any leads or knows where I can find more, I’d really appreciate it! They do come up on eBay every once in a while and I buy them when they do, but not often enough or in the quantity needed to complete a full set.

Thank you in advance!

With vintage die-cut Paranoid chips, Stars of David were a popular option, along with other major world religious symbols. Many of the fraternal organizations like the various descendants of the Freemasons sometimes used it on their gambling chips.
