Straight Flush
Been lurking since I stopped collecting. But here's my
T.R. King Rounders Cash Set
It's been a while since I bought any new chips. I used to own a BCC Highroller Cash Set and TRK Deadwoods Tourney Set. Both of these sets rocked~!
In February, I got a new job so I moved to another state. I was leaving behind a great regular poker game and figured I wouldn't have time to find another game like the one I had before. The guys I played with loved my BCC Highroller set so I sold it to them for a fair price. I look at is as though I just pawned them, and feel like if I wanted, I could always buy them back
But before I sold the Highrollers I sold the Deadwoods at a ridiculously low price. I was desperate for money for the Christmas season, and I immediately had sellers remorse. As soon as I shipped them I had this sinking feeling that I will never find another TRK set that I would be able to afford. I knew the buyer would probably never sell them back to me for the price I let them go for.
So, new state, new job, bigger family, I felt like my chipping days were over. So besides a few loose racks here and there, I no longer had any sets. I would occasionally lurk the forums and see some things here and there.
Then I saw these for sale. These were the chips that I first looked for that introduced me into chipping. I've only been chipping for 6 years, but I don't recall ever seeing a set for sale. There weren't many made (I read somewhere ~6000 total), and the group buy was not on CT so they rarely ever came up for sale. I jumped at the chance to own a set of chips that I've been looking for since I started.
So I present to you my TRK Rounders Cash Set. They are not mint. They were used and well loved. I think they have just the right amount of "used-ness" to them that I enjoy. Easy to shuffle with that buttery feel that only TRKs have. They could use some cleaning, but I'll save that for later.
Now all I need to find is a local game to put them into play. Chantilly/South Riding, VA anyone?...
