Hey guys, I guess I need to do the formal self-intro and check-in, I've been lurking and checking out posts on here without registering for a while now. I host monthly tournaments and occasional cash games with a group of friends at my house, and I seem to have a habit of acquiring far more chips and gear than I ever actually need for hosting the game (a pic of the mess from recently apprising the inventory below). The last couple of years we have been playing with the Valentino ceramics from BRProPoker (which I settled on after ordering probably 10-15 sample stock sets). That was after graduating from a few years of playing with the inexpensive Monte Carlo fake hologram chips. I really like the Valentinos. But I recently stumbled onto CPC and now I am working on a full custom set.
My problem (if you want to call it that) is that I like to have a LOT of chips. Especially for cash games, I like sitting with the same kind of stacks I would have in a cardroom. We usually play $1/2 for NL/PL games and $3/6 or $4/8 limit games, so I love having STACKS of 1s and 5s. Our tournaments usually have 9-14 players with 10k starting stacks, and a decent number of rebuys, so we need a good number of chips in play even for the tournaments. It's an expensive proposition (my Valentino set is over 3000 chips), and now that I discovered the custom compression clays I think it's about to become much more so. Anyway, it's nice to see a lot of like-minded enthusiasts on here, and with so many people here who have done the custom CPC chips this forum is a great resource.
