lots of the edges are either very similar to other ones
5's reds blend for me.Yeah, now that I have a worthy idea that seems to go on the right path, I will definitely order a ton of samples, colours and mold. I like the H-mold a lot, but the SCrown might be a good fit.
Regarding the Blue 1… I may change my mind in front of the samples, and the price quote, but I think overall the set is not fancy, I have read a lot of time "make your workhose your favourite", and I think it is definitely better with 4 colours than 2 for the spots, even if the effect is subtle.
Not sure what you mean, except for the 1.
Yeah you really need the color samples when you're going outside the tried and true box for your combos. Until you do, we won't really be speaking the same language regarding them.No, not yet, I procrastinated around this order.
Someone's been cooking!
If you insist that you are only buying one CPC set ever, perhaps consider the Tina chips first.
Yeah… That was really not the initial intention, but as with the rest… I surrender and go with the flow. Let's see where I end up.
- I like the direction you're headed with the inlay. Simple and thematic. No critiques until you're further along.
Thank you.
- The $1 is beautiful.
- Badger colors feel detached from the rest of the set. Is that what you're going for?

- I second the concerns about DG Saturn. In particular, I think it does not go with DG Pink at all. But not sure what it goes with...

- Regarding the fox colors, I agree with both of you- orange and DG orange might be tricky to tell apart in low light. Still, chip is still distinguishable from others, so not a functional issue.
I am really not trying to contradict just for the sake of it, but I kinda like the pink-saturn combo pictured here .
Yeah the Badger looks apart. But its only because it is not on the same line…
I feel that I have not much room with colours for a badger outside Charcoal, White and Black, though. And even if I am not a fan of Black chips, it is growing on me…
Hey, sorry for the late reply, and thanks a lot for the picture, and the inputs, it is really helpfulI like the concept and implementation and overall color scheme.
For the pink chip, I’m guessing you picked dayglo Saturn because of the split spot warning with your dayglo pink? Maybe standard pink works better with your color scheme? Maybe using a dayglo orange instead of Saturn given that robins have orange bellies?
The $1 chip is my favorite and I don’t think you should tweak just to save some $. Get what works for you!
For the fox chip, I think dayglo orange and orange are very close to each other. For a quarter pie maybe just sticking with two colors makes it pop more?
The picture below is the colors all in order if it is helpful. I did the loaner set from the sticky on the custom page and would recommend looking into that as well. I made a couple tweaks to my set I’m designing based on seeing them in person in different lighting conditions. Plus having different mold shuffle samples is very nice since they all have their own character and feel.

Thanks! Not sure I would like to venture too far away from the badgers colours though.Full send! It's your set.
Came up with a few $100 ideas based around reusing the Saturn since there's a color reuse progression throughout the set. I still like your chip better but these might fit in the set more.

I have just entered some numbers in the Excel price sheet. I am not saying I will abandon my 1, but the realisation that a single level 8 costs "almost" as much as the rest of the 4 other level 4 denoms together is… enlightening
$ 920 for 200 lvl 8
$ 1290 for 400 lvl 4
A small recluse cottage from the late 18th century, lost on a hill in the countryside, devoid of any trace of civilisation
Don't take me too seriously- I'm not really a designerI feel… contradicted
A nudge is a good way to look at it. If the 418 really is better, for anyone who can afford a CPC set, there's usually a way to squeeze a few extra hundred francs into the budget.That would drop the price down to right under 2K for 600 chips. But… Yeah. Maybe. Perhaps. Aaargh. I don't know. Heart vs Reason…?
Thanks for the nudge.
