Our local Knights of Columbus puts on a few fundraiser poker tourneys through the winter months. Having 6 events this year. The chips we use are lightweight cheap plastic blanks. Have gobs of these chips. Currently a cheat sheet is created to show the denominations.
I was wondering if it would be feasible to label these things with some denominations and a simple design. I worry about game security with these as they currently are. However, these tourneys have run for years with no known issues. One could so simply buy these and add to their stack during a break. A good crowd is upwards towards 80 people. So I'd like to plan on labeling enough chips for 100 players.
We start with 8000 chips and then a 4000 add on is available.
Starting stack is
8 - 25T
8 - 100T
6 - 500T
4 - 1000T
Then the add ons and also the 5000T chips would be needed.
I figured up that it would around 7500 total labels printed to label both sides of each chip. Five different demons needed of various quantities.
The guys in the KC's will not be interested in spending big money to do this. It by no means needs to be fancy at all. Just something that would stick to make gameplay easier and game security better. I'm one of the very few in the council that plays cards and has ever been concerned about this.
Will these chips even take a label successfully?
