Not sure how many would make the weight of the 5lbs they state, I assume if around 10gm/per it would be 200-250. Since they have a "B" on them, I took a stab, but not knowing what they are worth, or how many of them, I did not want to be in too deep.

Thoughts on value? What would you gambol for MAYBE 200 large crown chips in a funky bag?

thanks,
BiGGyT

currently I am at about $40 with shipping

I'm definitely in on these (you're the one that bested my initial bid, which is not my final bid).

I posted it because

1) I really don't know the value, and it is a "what is it worth" question
2) I was curious to see what others might be willing to pay for an unknown item that does not specify the count, color, or quality
3) because I can live without them if some chipper who collects this style of chip would be willing to pay more than my max
4) this is a poker chip forum, we discuss poker chips
5) if I win them, I want praise from the community for a good deal if there are many chips of awesomeness rescued from Goodwill
6) I am not a troll, hiding under a bridge, yelling at people to get away from my hoard of chips or chips I might want
7) I think I was drunk at the time I decided to bid on them, wanted to see if I fucked up

Why do you think I should not have posted it? I think that is a better discussion.

I'm not so sure that the actual weight is 5 pounds. You can get a rough estimate of how many chips there are in the 3rd picture that's out there. A rough estimate is about 70 chips. Might be a few more, but you can see the bottom of the bag in multiple areas, so I don't think the pile is very deep.

well, someone outbid me at 11:30pm, and I don't need these - was more as a novelty or saving from the dump, so good luck to whoever wins.

All terrific reasons.

wow, these sold for $111.99, so I guess that answers a few questions on worth and what someone is willing to gamble on them. If one of you got this, please post results, enquiring minds want to know.

been there done that but got some pretty cool stuff when captn morgan was driving my paypal account but the boat i bid $21,000 i must have been really hammered but got lucky when someone got it at $25k + the next day

i know a guy that claims he was drunk and put in an offer for $180k on a Donzi boat where the Seller had a Buy It Now button for $250k.....the Sellers accepts his $180k..he sobers up but still thinks its a good deal, buys it, had some fun with it, and now cant get $100k for it as it sits for the past two years...

plus you can always tell eBay to go pound sand or tell the seller flat out your not going to pay for it....gee i can live with a negative mark on feedback....sort of like when your teacher said you were going to get a mark on your "permanent record"..  wtf is or was a permanent record anyway???....yeah im scared eBay....gve me a mark:D

It's fairly common for a winning bidder to back out on eBay. The most common response I've gotten when this happens is, "Sorry, my son/daughter was playing with my phone. I didn't bid on this item."

Got the chips today. Final count...

90x White
85x Lavender
45x Orange
1x Blue (wtf?)

...and a tote to put about a kilo of weed in. There were actually two other chips - one white (I think) and one I'm really not sure about - that looked like they had run through the digestive track of an elephant...I just tossed 'em.

I'm mildly disappointed with the counts - 221 (or 223) isn't exactly close to the 300 that Good Will said were there, but oh well. Still a reasonable buy, me thinks. Gonna clean them up some time over the next week or two and will post some before and after pics. They'll be used with another set of 290 I have (different hotstamp), so now I can fill out a 500 case.

About that kilo of weed....

Here's a heap of assorted dirty hot stamps, including the LCrowns...

Here they are mid-cleaning...

And here's the cleaned, oiled set...

The whites didn't turn out all that great, but the purples are pretty damn good and the orange (butterscotch?) are pretty good, too, particularly with those purples.

I suspect I will be listing this set shortly, plus some extras of each color. If you're interested, feel free to hit me up in the meantime.

I think those turned out pretty good from where they started, good luck with your sale!
