I had a 300-chip set of these years ago with the dealer button, LOVED them, still kicking myself for selling. Only had hundo's, 500's and 1k's in my set though. And I didn't get anywhere near what I paid for them when I sold.

This is one of the prettiest things I have ever seen. Makes me look back on my life and wonder whether I should have proposed to this set of chips instead of my lovely fiancé. If I was only 10 years younger....

.... And $1600 richer.....

I am 100% certain you made the right choice. ;)

Howdy Folks -
I am very tempted to buy this set but really only need the $5,000's. I don't know how difficult it would be to sell off the others. There are some for sale on eBay for a similar price as these that aren't selling. I'll give it some thought tonight and make a decision tomorrow.

Thanks for looking out for me Don.

Just my luck. I was out of town during that auction and didn't have internet access. I would have snatched those up in a second. Those must be the same chips.

Actually I bought them through Craigslist. I didn't even know they had been posted on eBay, but it must be the same set. Obviously it was an amazing deal. The chips are in unbelievably great condition and while I'd love to keep them, I really can't justify doing so with the three other 1,000 chip sets I have.

Just three other sets? How do you do it??

LOL. Self-control and financial responsibility?? Truth is all my sets get play in our weekly $10-$20 limit game, but we never play tournaments. If the Noirs were low denomination ($5, $10, $25) I'd keep them, although putting together a 1,000 chip Noir set at those denominations seems like a lot of work and could be costly.

God damn, Tampa is the next town over, I could've driven and picked these up, what a great price he picked them up for!
