Hi all,
I felt like this was long overdue since first finding out about the PCF community through numerous content creators who've made guides for newer people getting into the scene of both chips and being able to structure good and enjoyable games. I'm really thankful for the resources that have been freely accessible after rekindling my interest again since the 2020 lockdowns.
Browsing the forums have been incredibly helpful with organising my own small fun games for a few friends online, using collective knowledge from years of experience here when it comes to finding ways to make the games a better experience for newer players. It's a smaller group since the days we peaked at the start, but it's still a good time each game.
I've really enjoyed reading about the journey when it comes to building dream sets, hosting games with a growing community and just all the poker stories as a whole. I've always had an interest into seeing the amount of creativity that comes together for very personalised sets and it's joy to see the passion going from designs to fully produced chipsets at the end result. I'd love the idea of a dream set for life one day but it's more of a luxury to me both cost and reason to do so, I haven't played or hosted any live games for several years at this point due to a lack of time available, so there's never been a rush for me. I've been content with getting odd historic samples for a passion collection or a slowly build that dream set as time goes on.
In hindsight I should've probably joined up on PCF sooner, I just tend to be a bit more reserved and browse more than engage, usually more active within Discord community and friend groups. But hey I figured that it's better late than never, to be more involved if I decide to be part of future topics when it might be useful for future plans with my friends group.
Overall I just want to say a big thanks to those who've made the forums what they are over the years, it's a great resource for anyone new or experienced on a multitude of different topics.
