Not Mine Look like Bud Jones Seem Way Overpriced (1 Viewer)

I'll probably contact the guy and give him an offer. I doubt he'll respond given what my offer will be but lol at his price so whatever. Always liked these Caesars at Sea chips.

I just emailed him to ask for a breakdown because I was curious. I live probably ten minutes away.

From the pic it seems to be:
400x$1
600x$5
120x$25
20x$100
4x$500

I have a large set of these as well (200 $1s, 400 $5s, 200 $25s, 180 $100s and 100 $500s.

The $1s and $5s are pretty common; I'd think those would be priced $1-$2; probably closer to $1.50. $25s maybe $2 and $100s and $500s in the $3-4 range. That'd make the set worth about $1500-$1800. These chips are nice but they're light...not like the V7s.

That said, chip prices are wacky these days. Good luck.

These are Bud Jones S2 chips, if anyone's wondering. Not as good as V7s but not terrible either. The old WSOP bud jones chips were S2 chips.

S2 weight ranges from 8.5 - 10.5 gr. V7 ranges from 9.5 - 12.5 gr.

A set of these hasn't been for sale in a long, long time. I used to own a small travel set, complete with a small Caesars case and everything... My biggest regret of a set sold, these are the best S2 chips ever available. I think $2500 for the set wouldn't be unreasonable, IIRC the chips were never used on the cruise ship so they are in great condition.

I guess I just disagree. $2500 is unreasonably high for this set imo.

There was a set (400-500) on eBay about 2 years ago that I tried to win. It went for around $1200 IIRC.

If that price holds then $2500 is reasonable obv but I think the market has gone down for BJ chips at least stateside.

I don't remember seeing many BJ sets even for sale in the last years. And def not for cheap. For loose racks, yeah those you could get pretty cheap because of low demand.

Just visit the Borgota and grab a few racks. :)
