Built a custom poker chip case ages ago, the problem was we didn't realize the chips I had were varying thickness between denominations. Finally looking to remedy the problem. I'm looking to find high quality clay poker chips (been looking at CPC mostly). The chips must be 39 mm diameter and 67.7333 mm height per 20 chips or very close. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations. Budget is fairly open for the right chips.

Here's a picture for anyone curious

You’re searching for a new chip set based on if it fits in the new case?
If consistency among stack size is the main requirement, CPC would be my last choice.
I did some measurements a while back and found my CPCs ranged from 67.15mm to 68.2mm per barrel. There were differences between denominations, but some differences were among the same denomination as well.

Yeah, the chips fitting into the case is my main priority. Built the case with any old friend who was a cabinet maker so it has some sentimental value. I've seen that some CPC sets seem to be much better than others (in terms of consistency) so I thought going used might be the best option. That way I can have the seller verify the exact measurements for me. I've really only looked into CPC and Paulson. Paulsons are a bit more than I'd like to spend and seem to run thinner than I would need anyway. Any other options you'd recommend?

CPCs should generally fit your case very well. They can be slightly uneven when brand spanking new, but mixing them up helps to even out the stacks and as they get played in and get some wear they will be more consistent.

And, yes...some molds are more consistent than others. If you are going to order a new set, David Spragg can give you guidance on which molds will be the most consistent in working with your case.

Thanks for the advice. If I can't find a used set, I 'll be sure to get in contact with David

Thanks for the link, seems like a common-ish problem

I've got a small pile (just under 500) of ASM CSQ solid hotstamps in great condition that I can let go for a song, if you have the wherewithal to mill them and customize with aftermarket labels. You (or anyone else, really) can PM me if interested.

That might be more involved than I'm up for atm. I'll look into it and let you know if I'm feeling ambitious. Thanks!
