Hi all,
I currently have a paulson pharoah cash set I'm looking to sell.....around 500 chips total. I'm wondering if someone can help me with their worth? They were divorce acquired and I'm not up on my poker chips:)
Thanks in advance for your help!

Depending on break down of the set and condition about $2.50 to $3/chip. The $0.25 chip commands the high end of the range.

For most accurate results, you should list a breakdown of the various denominations in the set. Pictures would also be helpful. eBay fees are fairly high, so I would try to sell them here first. If they don't sell, you have only lost some time. I'm not in the market personally, but best of luck!

The NCV versions on the suits mold are about 20-30% less than their denominated counterparts. The only exception to this rule are the blue NCV chips that people use for fractionals.

Well crud lol

Minimum posts are "10". So unfortunately you need a few more. Now, junk or spam posts for the sole purposes of padding your post count, so you can sell in the classifieds, are generally considered uncouth.

Best of luck

This is what I have....the count is...
1-100
5-124
25-99
100-114
500-25
1000-55 in the darker orange
1000-28 in the lighter orange/tan
5000-11
Any opinions on their value would be greatly appreciated.

Some of these (hard to tell in the pics) appear to have slightly rounded edges. This would affect value. Also, the breakdown seems to lend itself better to adding on to folks' existing sets. The breakdown seems it's not enough chips for a decent stand-alone cash set, and not enough for a tourney set.

I don't have the greatest eyes in the world, but they look like China clays to me and not Paulsons, which would also greatly diminish their value.

Unfortunately those are not Paulsons... They are China Clays, worth around 25¢/30¢ a chips maybe...

This is correct. China clays are cheaper chips (still nice), but don't command the value of Paulson chips. In used condition, they would sell in the $0.25 - $0.35 range a piece.

Feel free to Google (or look up on here) Paulson Pharaohs and you will see they look different.

I apologize if this discourages you. There is still a market for your chips, just at a lower price point.

Thanks for the help....no worries, I'm not discouraged....just trying to unload them:)

Reminds me of an old man in prison for shooting a judge and a divorce lawyer. The ex got everything including his little bass boat and his dog.

He just loved that dog.

Why don't you give the poor bastard his chips back?

Hahaha.....I actually did ask him if he wanted to come get them....he just never did....now it's spring cleaning time;)

you have 10 post now, so you can put these up in classifieds. Some close up pics would help a lot. cant tell from your pic if these are actually Paulson (might be china clays)

I'm a newish member here myself and I can say this is a very knowledgeable, supportive and honest community. There's enough chippers here that someone will want them at a fair price. Good luck with your sale!

Put me down as another vote that from that picture they look like the China Clay version of the Pharoah's. I'd probably pay .20-.25 per chip since they're easily available from Apache in new condition for .42.

But if and when you sell them - please pack them carefully! At least wrap them in stacks in plastic wrap and cushion the box. Chips will not survive a rough travel through the post office intact. There is no greater disappointment than receiving a box of chip dust. Here are some tips...https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/poker-chip-shipping-tips-and-tricks.7614/

Very thankful for the tips! I honestly wouldn't have known about packaging! I'll be sure to do that! Thanks!

Here's a stock photo of some Paulson Pharaoh's... notice the slightly different spots than on your chips and the paulson stamp on the rim.

Also, the breakdown seems to lend itself better to adding on to folks' existing sets. The breakdown seems it's not enough chips for a decent stand-alone cash set, and not enough for a tourney set.

On the plus side:

1. Perfectly playable for a small game. My Thursday night game is typically only six players, and for a 6-max game, the $1/$5/$25 could work as a cash set.
2. Since these are China clays, someone could buy these for less than new, and then round out the set with some new chips from Apache.
3. Large sets usually sell at a discount. If she's willing to break up the set to multiple people, each of whom is adding on to their own set, she'll get a better price per chip, anyway.

GL!
