Hey all,

I'm not sure how many posts I need to pop into Classifieds so I figured I would try this area instead, maybe boost my street cred a bit? I am looking for a snall frac set for cash games and stumbled on Jim's old Lucky Derby sale from a year and a half ago. Anyone trying to unload some of these or have any ideas where to find them, preferably close to the prices he sold them for (pushing my luck, I'm sure) :)

Off topic, my new Caribbean tourney set form @dbertheau is sitting on my steps ready to be played! Woo!

Finding anything for sale close to Jim's original pricing is going to take a lot of luck. For that matter finding a set for sale at market price would be a bit of good fortune these days. I see two rack+ sized sales of Lucky Derby in my eBay history, both in December 2015 (but not enough to be playable on their own).

Post a want to buy ad, troll eBay but don't have high hopes for a quick catch.

Good luck -=- DrStrange

The 50 cent chips are hard to come by, I have been watching for them since I decided to pick up the Dr.'s aforementioned unplayable set (which was merged with another and made for a lot of $1s. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but figured at the price/chip it was worth picking up. So, if you are looking for just fracs, this might not be the ones to look for. Actually, most Paulson fracs are $1/chip minimum anymore (unless you got the Mitches for about $.40/chip and have a lot of oxyclean), so not sure this fits into your budget.

Good luck with your search,

Thanks, guys. Ideally I'm looking for anything from .25-5$ chips more of the .25-2$ ideally or in this case .5-3$

I can't post in classifieds yet due to lack of posts but when I can I will def put up a Wanted ad.

Ya, Jim's pricing is pretty much wholesale, and as soon as his sale is completed, the prices seem to go up. Actually, the prices often go up DURING his sales. He starts out with "sight unseen" pricing, and based on condition and other variables, he'll bump up the price (sometimes significantly, sometimes not) once he receives the chips.

To get his pricing NOW is likely NOT going to happen.

Best of luck in your search.

What would one expect to pay on something like this? Over double despite their heavy use do you think? Thx

In today's market, finding ANY Paulson casino chip for less than $1 is almost a thank-your-lucky-stars occasion. Desirable chips go $2/chip, easy. Desirable and scarce are close to double that. Higher denominations ($100 and up) get real pricey quick. Five bucks used to be the 'standard' for $500 chips; now it's close to twice that. $15/chip for $1000 denominations is not uncommon.
