After much delay, I'm presenting my ASM (2006) customs for "Mack's Playroom". The chips are named after my daughter, with the "Est. 2002" referring to the year she was born. Every picture on the chips was representative of one of her favorite toys growing up, and the non-denom blue is a picture of her when she was 4. The cat on the front was her first pet, and would always interject himself into whatever we were doing -- as a result, he's peeking in from the edge of the inlay.

Full set is 900 chips, but there will be no chipstack pron because, fittingly, the chips are currently in an upper corner of her closet (and she's sleeping!).

Since these chips were made, we've welcomed 2 new additions to the family -- a little brother (now 5), and a husky (the dog she always wanted)... as a result, I'm debating changing the name to "The Playroom" and introducing the dog and/or her brother as design elements.

Ok... proper chipstack pictures. Sadly, since the poker table is long gone (but not forgotten), this is the closest to game conditions for awhile.

Now... would a 5000 look better as a plaque or a 43mm octagon... (y)

Could you use the non-denom as a 5k?

I've been a fan of utilizing OWPS here for their oversized ceramic chips. But I couldn't get behind an octagon. Granted, I'm not a plaque kinda guy, whatsoever, BUT I'd do a plaque with your set before I got oversized ceramic chips. I like my ceramic chips (oversized) to be used as bounties...

The non-denom have been working as the 5K, but they were also sort of a "gift chip" for relatives, friends, etc.

If I did a 5K, they'd be relegated to supplemental duties like bounty, rebuy, etc.

I'm torn between plaques and the octagon for a couple reasons:

* My set can only work with about 18 players, so 50 bounty chips is excessive... however, 50 5K octagons isn't too bad

* Plaques are in play for bounty and a potential 10K/25K expansion...

* I haven't felt the octagons or plaques (I have an OLD Nevada Jack's version that I'm sure has been improved upon), but I'm thinking the octagon might be a good transition chip between the normal set and a potential high-roller plaque set (can be used in both without seeming out of place).

Thanks for posting these! Love the front side with the cat and love the color combos.

And as much as I love the many, many spot options CPC has made available to us, it's good to get a reminder that the old school spot patterns could make some pretty great chips.

I'm smitten by the ASM green & pink 25 chip. I love pink spots on green chips, and those look great w/the pink inlays. Thanks for sharing!

Nice story and I like the peeking cat too. I saw some pron of them and was curious what the history was on them but now I know :)
