My wife tolerates that half of our rec room is "my" area, occupied by neon signs, poker tables, chip displays, etc.. this is conditional to the other half of the room being functional as a TV/wii game area. My wife recently facilitated the procurement of new powered theater seats, and just yesterday. We upgraded from a 50" plasma, to a 65" LED ultra 4K w/HDR. I'm very pleased with the new TV. We're not quite done with reinstalling the movie racks that bracket the TV (had to move them to facilitate the bigger screen).

I am also an audiophile, and with an unlimited budget I'd have different speakers. I used to compete in car audio, won a number of best in shows for sound quality.

That said, I'm happy with paradigms.

Not knocking the paradigms. Still great speakers.

I think it is crazy what some spend on speakers. Then again they say the same about us and chips!

I roll my eyes off the back of my head at crazy speaker guys. I'm sure they'd laugh at my Polks like I'd laugh at somebody's dice chips.
I'm sure those paradigm's fill that room with great sounding sound.

Looks sweet!

Not sure if I should mention it, as it may annoy you after I do.

But that could possibly be the best reason to mention it.

You could hide your cords behind some channel as shown below -

Personally, I'd just paint the channel black instead of trying to match the wall.

Ya, I've considered such cord hiders. There isn't a lot of cord sticking out to bother me all that much, and when I watch movies/TV, the lights are dimmed (dimmers rock). Can't see the cords in the dark.. ha.

Or just punch a hole in the wall behind the TV and another behind the entertainment center. Install some these and a faceplate and pull the wires through. Should take you 20 mins

Fancy looking chairs! No cuddling with your sweetheart with those chairs. Although that'll probably be a good thing once your daughter is older and brings over a boy. They'll have to be separated by the chairs when watching movies
