Up for sale are a total of four Mardi Gras v1 sets available. These are mostly the same chips that @guinness had available recently with some of my own added in, and at very close to the same price.

"Why did you buy them just to resell them for little/no profit?"

Two reasons - so that I could swap out some $25's for my green NCV's, and to make the chips available to as many people as possible. There's a number of new chippers out there that have never had an opportunity to handle a spotted BCC set on the four suits mold. Hell, there's a number of veteran chippers out there that fall into that category! Only two sets were ever made on that mold - the MG's, and the Martini Clubs - so the availability of these chips ended up being limited to begin with. The chips & mold handle INCREDIBLY well (my favorite of all chips, really), the colors are fantastic, and many of these chips are essentially in new condition.

These pictures were originally taken by @guinness and are used with his permission.

I have three tournament sets and one cash/modified tournament set available. All sets are 320 chips; all sets are $550 + shipping. Sets will be shipped insured at the buyers expense. Buyer pays all shipping, Paypal fees, and any other related fees.

Please PM me to purchase.

*****

Tournament sets (1 available)

80x Green NCV
80x $100
60x $500
50x $1k
20x $5k
10x $25k
20x Extras (at least two of each color, and at least five $1k's)

For a 9-person tournament there are enough chips here to go with a 8/8/6/6 breakdown for a T10k. At ten people then you either have to get a bit creative for 10k stacks, or reduce the starting stack a bit.

*****

Cash/Modified tournament set - SOLD

80x Green NCV/$25 (mix of both)
160x Black NCV/$100 (mix of both)
40x Purple NCV
40x Brown NCV

This is good for a small game - 5-6 players? - as .25/1/5/20, or for turbo or other modified tournaments.

Buying my first set, a midrange chip, right now. Looking at sets like these make me realize i just stepped into the abyss. Life is about to get expensive. :)

Beautiful chips, glad to see people interested in sharing their passion. Goodluck with the sale.

I'm not sure you know yet just how true that is! Just remember, you can always resell, and if you sell at a loss then that's just the cost of renting the chips.

As for these chips, if you're remotely interested - pull the trigger. You'll be glad you did!

You sound like the crack dealer, trying to get a customer to take their first hit.

Seriously though, Im very happy to be getting my starter set. I'll spend some time developing my taste and appreciation before i jump in with both feet.

Love this mold, too bad BCC couldn't use it that much.

Fantastic pricing and break-down. GLWS

these damn sets are like Lay's potato chips, can't buy just ONE......

While that wasn't my intent, I can understand why folks would think that.

And if people want to buy more than one set...well, I won't stop them! That being said, I would prefer to have four separate buyers so that as many people can enjoy these as possible - and that's saying something because I hate shipping almost as much as I hate that school up north. I won't stop anyone from buying multiple sets, though. I just hope as many people get to enjoy these chips as I have.

I just found 40 denom $100's if anyone needs appending. Excellent cond (same as pics). PM so as to not derail this thread. $80 shipped insured CONUS.

Same boat, bud. Like three weeks ago I was pumped about some china clays arriving in the mail to "finally have a nice looking set" and now I'm scouring chip ads every day and trying to figure out how quickly will these chips devalue if I let my greasy friends touch them. Like really, where does this grease come from?

This set is gorgeous and really captures New Orleans' flavor. I'm gonna have to think for a few days and hope they sell before I check back into this thread. My current project is to refelt and pad my table so I need prioritize right now.

great sets.. 1st BCC chip I'd ever seen in person was a Mardi Gras $25.
Would have bought a set way back then if I had the cash.

I can't believe these are still available.

I'm a little surprised myself. I think part of the challenge might be that a number of high-dollar sets have changed hands recently so available funds may be low. It could also be a situation where a number of the newer chippers haven't encountered a BCC set before, much less a set on the suits mold, and thus might not know what they're missing.

I'm trying to pull together another $250 for this chipset. I wish this wasn't rural North Dakota or I'd just hit the casino or an extra game for it. These are way nicer than Ive been looking for.

whew. u have no idea how hard it was to not snatch up two of those tourney sets........ glad Scott was able to spread the love around, however. (y)
Haha, no, I have an idea. A month ago I wouldn't have pictured myself dropping half a stack on chips. But you gentlemen [and women] have made me see the light. The other day I was trying to find reasons not to buy. But this evening I'm realizing I've got to hang with the big boys.

Also from now on I'm using brackets for "live edits."

Congrats on the new chips. They're going to be fantastic. I have never had a chip in that mold -- I wish I did. You scored some awesome chips!
