Hi All,
Just wanted to share some thoughts on a New Set I'm planning. So, I've had these Blue Chip Company Spotted Blanks (Desert Palms Mold) since back when I was working with Jim of The Chiproom. 2008-2009 ish.
They are absolutely beautiful chips! But I'm thinking of doing something unconventional with them. I would like the Flexibility of having both a Cash set and Tournament set and Don't want just one or the Other. Since I have plenty of Both.

Being a very Big Marvel comic book/movie fan I using that as my theme. So this set is going to be color/character coordinated. I did hot stamp a Super Hero Cardroom set for my cousin back when these chips were first produced. Loved how that came out. But, for these I want to go the color labeled route.

I like the concept. I’d use some of the chips you have a lot of and go for some unconventional denoms and not double up cash/tourney values to keep game integrity. Not sure of your stakes, but something like.

100x yellow fracs
200x Black $1
300x red $5
100x Gray $20
100x White $100

Green T25
Black T100
White T500
Yellow T1k
Gray T5k

When are you hosting!? I'm thinking of having a tournament soon if your interested in playing. The theme is sweet can't wait to see further details

So this set is going to be color/character coordinated.

yellow - Wolverine/Thing/Rogue/Human Torch
black - Black Panther/Black Widow/Nick Fury
red - Iron Man/Deadpool/Spiderman (obviously there's a ton for red)
gray - Cable
white - Storm/Quicksilver
green - Green Goblin/Iron Fist
blue - Iceman/Mystique

Just some suggestions ;)

Maybe go with a superhero/arch enemy theme? Superhero on one side, his arch enemy on the other. Something like:

  • Yellow - Wolverine vs. Sabretooth
  • Black - Daredevil (You could go with the black costume, but I think his red costume would look better since it's often drawn so dark, anyway.) vs. Kingpin (or Elektra could be interesting here)
  • Red - Spider-Man vs. Carnage (or Venom) (Amazing how many of Spider-Man's rogues gallery suit up in green. Don't think that would look good with the red chip unless you really like Christmas.)
  • Gray - Professor X vs. Magneto (Even though it doesn't really fit the theme, a Stan Lee Tribute Chip might be really nice here, too.)
  • White - Silver Surfer vs. Galactus
  • Green - Hulk vs. The Leader (or Abomination)
  • Blue - Captain America vs. Red Skull
