Not sure if they are still live but they have historically been hard to get. They are drop chips in the poker room.

Some folks here have been able to wrangle a rack worth, but I'm unsure how. I remember trying to buy one off the dealers at the table several times and was told no in no uncertain terms.

Thanks for that reply mate. I had feeling that was the case but then I saw the large inlay $25’s and thought I would be worth asking.

The $3 and $25 chip are brilliant looking chips.

I think they retired these. When I lived there, I would play at MGM, and they were on all the tables, used as drop chips. I spoke with a few dealers, and they told me the same thing @AlbinoDragon said. Eventually got one off of eBay.
The last time I played there, I didn’t see $3 chips on any of the poker tables.

I was told that the $3 (also $10 & $20) chips are not physically in the poker room cage. I think they are impossible to get at the casino now.
