Milano $5 shades of red (1 Viewer)

Has anyone bought any of the most recent batch of Milano $5 chips? I think these became available in January.

I'm hoping that I can save myself the trouble of shipping a sample chip over to the UK to see how the current batch compares with the the chips I have, since I had the age-old problem of receiving a slightly darker red set of chips last time I added-on. It bugs me far more than it should! I get my chips direct from Brybelly but I guess all of the chips available are from the same batch anyway since the $5 chips were all sold out.

I would grateful for any input on whether the latest batch is the lighter or darker shade. Thanks.

Haven't bought $5's recently but I would almost guarantee there is going to be a slight variance in either the color or label. I can tell which of my Milano's are from different production runs based on differences in the color or label. This seems to be the norm with this level of chip. I never notice it in play though, only when specifically looking for it so it doesn't really bother me.

I've got 150 chips that are a lighter shade than another 35 that I added on later. It bothers me because it's so noticeable but admittedly it doesn't bother anyone else I play with and to be honest when I'm playing the alcohol, lighting and general focus on the game means I don't notice then either. But when I'm sorting my chips at home....

I actually got a single chip from Brybelly to check the current batch - and it was another shade again! It was darker still. Actually sold my set bar a few spares in the end. Brybelly still have 6,000 x $5 chips in stock.
