I just started to carry these at my site. The simple and classy style of their chips is hard to beat. The Mirage has always been one of my favorite casinos. I played a lot of poker there in the 1990's and at the time it was the best poker room in town.

They are beautiful chips. well done. I have a Mirage cash set ($0.25 -$0.50 - $1 -$5) in no mold. Matches my poker room theme.
Good Luck with the sale.

Well hot damn, I'll definitely need to get me a sample set. I've been looking at these from the group buy for a little while. Will be ordering samples for sure.

Are these the same Tina web mold hybrid Ceramics sold on this forum by Justin at Broken Arrow, and in the current group buy? I just received mine and really like them.

@Apache could you post a barrel of 25c next to a barrel of $1? Wondering how the two shades of blue chips look next to each other, as I’m sure others are too. I’m sure that contrast was considered, but it would be great to see it. Thanks! :)

There should not be any problems with the 25c and $1. They are quite different.
These are the new 39mm web mold hybrid chips from Tina.

It's called the Mirage casino... He's not saying they're chips from the mirage casino he's saying they are mirage casino chips if that makes sense... Same way he lists them as dunes casino chips... Dunes is a casino he's not selling CC chips pretending he got them from a casino that's been closed for years....

Jesus they are dumb anymore aren’t they.

I don’t know what he’s pretending or not pretending. Misleading is misleading no matter how you justify it.

I disagree that it's misleading. Because Apache has literal casino chips listed as well in a separate section of the website. If he was claiming they were authentic casino chips they wouldn't be regularly available for order on his website. They would be listed elsewhere on the website.
And as if you're going to through flack at Apache on a thread they started for something that is an industry wide problem is ridiculous. Make your own thread in order to make these arguments don't piggyback off a vendors thread that is promoting a product in an industry standard way.

Shouldn’t be a problem to state that these aren’t real casino chips then.

If you want a buyer beware atmosphere here then we can do that too.

The only reason to sell these without stating what they are is to get unsuspecting people to buy something they think is something else.

The problem is that you are making this argument in bad faith towards the seller without taking the time to do your own research. Something that should have taken you 2 minutes by clicking the link and reading the attached description of the product.

... I mean just read the product description. I would think that most consumers do their due diligence before buying anything. If someone can't be bothered to read three small paragraphs before making a purchase it's ultimately on them at that point. No where is it stated that these are genuine casino chips...
There is no buyer beware here. All the information is plainly stated for everyone to see.

He's not selling here on PCF as he has the product page linked in his OP where it clearly states that these are not real in the website description.

In addition, these are $0.55/chip. If an unsuspecting person is going to be naive as to think they're getting "real casino" chips for that cheap, they have bigger issues.

I clicked on this thread looking for Mirage casino chips. Not until he was called out here did he state HERE-on PCF- that these were Tina’s.
Couldn’t give two fucks what he has on his website, it’s what he has here that’s the problem. Not a big issue now that he was called out and forced to admit these were Tina’s.

You should do your research on your vendors before you spout off here. Copying others IP in china without permission is one of his trademarks.

Not a fan of replica chips, dunes, or mirage etc.

But I guess when a casino closes, can’t really go after the IP.

Agree with @ekricket the headline of this thread needs changed. Misleading.

The headline can be changed to make it more clear, but anyone active on this site would spot that these are the same replica inspiration hybrid web mold chips sold in the current Tina group buy.

Not that I 100% disagree with the logic here but, I don't necessarily believe that he needs to state who his supplier is.
Maybe I give too much credit to PCFers but if there was anywhere on the internet where a quick description and link slapped on a thread was a place to do it it would be here no?

Idk man sure if that's your view it's valid. My push back on that would be, most products people buy these days comes as a trademark knock off from China... It's why websites like Temu and Alibaba have exploded in popularity. The general public often doesn't care about the quality of something but the price is the defining factor. I'm not defending Apaches practices I'm just suggesting that there isn't really an issue I see why the the title or content of this post.

Most people just called it the Mirage, not the Mirage Casino. It would be better to call them Mirage Tribute or Replica Poker Chips, because they are not actual casino chips.

Anyone active on this site is key. How about people just googling and stumble upon PCF and see it. Those people may not know.

99% of us on PCF are outliers. Most casual poker players don’t give a rats ass about chips. Dice or CPC they don’t care. My friends think I’m insane for the number of chips I have and what I spend on them. And I’m a small fish on PCF.

It was a misleading headline, no ifs and or buts. Now I like Apache and will give him the benefit of the doubt but let’s not pretend he’s only selling to PCFers.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but my point is that if you are not knowledgeable on poker chips and just buying them for the first time. Surely you would read the product description no?

But then they click the link to the site and see where it's stated that they are replicas, no?

It says plainly in the product description
Agreed - replying to the comment saying it's misleading to non-forum members who stumbled upon the post. Even if they weren't aware at that point, when they go to the site they'll see they are replicas.

Oh gotcha lol, my apologies

It’s misleading bc I clicked the headline and this isn’t mirage casino chips. For that, I’m annoyed.

His website would also be a violation for any state in regards to consumer sales/advertising laws.

Disclaimers don’t cover your ass from deception. Source; I’m a car dealer. Headlines matter.

I also like Apache and think they’re a good vendor and think this was a simple common mistake/sales strategy that is mostly innocent.
