Hello
New member here am looking to make my first chip purchase coming from dice chips. The following is the chip count I think would work for both micro to low stakes cash games and T25 Tournament set. Looking for opinions on stacks size for mostly 10 players but with the ability to accommodate a 2 table MTT. I was trying to stay under 1200 chips in separate bird cages either 600 and 600 or 1000 chips holding both. Not totally against 600 cash and 1000 tourney but don't want to spend extra money on extra chips that might not be needed. . I'm also ok with using the 25's for both. At this time I'm stuck between getting china clay magestics or jumping in on a group tina card mold order of either Aris or Bellagio.
Thanks for the help.

Denom Chip Count
$0.05 50
$0.25 100
$1 100
$5 100

I do the same with my sets. The solution for the $25 repeating dilemma is a alternative denomination above your $5's. You can get $10, $20 or even $100's as a high denom option for your cash game while preserving your 25's for tournaments. This is important since the 25s will be high value cash chips you don't want anyone squirling them away in the tournament to have stack power in a later cash game. The vest advise is the never play the same chip from a tournament in a cash game ever or at least in the same night/event without breaking the bank and recounting.

I suggest this adjustment to your cash set
Denom Chip Count
$0.05 50
$0.25 80 or 120 (multiple of 4)
$1 100 (150 if able)
$5 200
* $10 - 100 or $20 - 60 to 80 or $100 -20
Many would say avoid $10, with $20 being the most favored.

If playing nickels cash game, you probably won't need $25s or maybe just a handful at most. Can substitute with a $20 like stated above to be sure.

You can also start your tournament set at 100 since you won't need those in your cash set anyway. I also can't see a 100k getting in here.

.05 - 100
.25 - 140
1 - 160
5 - 160
25(20) - 40

600 pc single table cash set, covers nickel game, can serve as quarter game set if not too crazy. Bank $2000($1800)
__________
100 - 200
500 - 80
1000 - 140
5000 - 160
25,000 - 20

600 pc versatile T100 STT set, can flex to 2 tables.

If you want to cover two cash tables you need more than 600.

If never going to play quarters, you could drop the 25 and some 5, fill out the racks of quarters and 1s (100/200/200/100).

If it must be T25 for the tournament set, there's an analogous 600 pc set that can flex to 2 tables but it won't need a 25k (160/160/80/150/50).

For a 5c/10c single-table cash game, I recommend 600 dedicated cash chips:

100 x 5c
200 x 25c
200 x $1
100 x $5

Total bank is $715 -- that's 71 x $10 buy-ins (100bb). Also works for 10c/20c, 10c/25c, or 25c/25c games (35 x $20 buy-ins or 28 x $25 buy-ins), and can even spread 25c/50c if you let $20 bills play. No need for chips larger than $5, imo, but adding a barrel of $20s ($400) does allow a total of 22 x $50 buy-ins for a 25c/50c game with no cash on the table. Extra bonus is that you can also use the $20 cash chips as $20 bounty chips in your 2-table tourney set. If that's out of your budget, the $5 cash chips can also be used as $5 bounty chips

For a budget T25-base 2-table tourney set, I recommend 8/8/4/7/2 stacks (20k) with 50/100 opening blinds (200bb):

160 x T25
160 x T100
80 x T500
140 x T1000
60 x T5000
--------------------
600 chips, includes color-up chips
(12/12/5/6/2 stacks for single-table events)

For a budget T100-base 2-table tourney set, I recommend 10/6/6/6 stacks (40k) with 100/200 opening blinds (200bb):

200 x T100
120 x T500
120 x T1000
150 x T5000
10 x T25000
----------------------
600 chips, includes color-up chips
(15/7/10/5 stacks for single-table events)

For a budget T500-base 2-table tourney set, I recommend 10/10/7/2 stacks (100k) with 500/500 opening blinds (200bb):

200 x T500
200 x T1000
200 x T5000
40 x T25000
--------------------
640 chips, includes color-up chips
(10/10/17/4 200k stacks with 500/1000 opening blinds for single-table events)
