Update 4/28: See new pr0n of the changes in post #14!

Update 4/20: See new pr0n of the changes in post #8!

After 3-4 months of putting this together along with some luck and generosity from several PCF members, I'm finally able to publish my first official pr0n to this forum.

This cash set is being built to support $0.25/$0.50, $0.50/$1, and $1/$2 NLHE.

As you can see, I still need 9 PCA Secondary $25's in the bottom right and 2 barrels of $100's in the upper right (currently searching!). From there, I may try to tack on some additional fracs and $1's.

All chips are in EXCELLENT to MINT condition!! The Day Blue Starburst compliments the edge spot in the Silver Palace $5 perfectly. And the PCA Secondary $25 is currently my most favorite chip that I've seen in person.

Updates as of 4/20:

On the left side, the day blue starbursts are being replaced with either the Blue Chip Casino quarters (another rack on the way!) or the Motor City quarters. I'm leaning towards the Blue Chips, but whichever aren't used will simply move to set #2. I couldn't resist Paulson spotted inlay fracs (x2)!!

On the right side, I also have two options, the Aztar MO Secondary $25's or the PCA Secondary $25's. Because I already have the PCA Secondary $1's in this set, and because the Aztar's give me a better spot progression overall, I'm leaning towards the Aztar's for this set, and will likely move the PCA's to set #2.

This will leave me with a 700 chip set including a breakdown of 200/200/200/80/20 which is just about perfect for $0.25/$0.50 and $0.50/$1 NLHE cash games.

Per some advice from @BGinGA, I think the hard part is done. I now have a playable set and can sit back and swap in better denominations as I find them.

There is no color coordination in this set as of now. There is no theme in this set as of now. I do feel that I have a very good spot progression with the Aztar's in the mix. And most importantly for me, every denomination and every chip is either excellent, near mint, or mint. Sharp edges. Cross hatching on surface. Etc...

Enjoy!

Nice! Agree with the Aztar choice for set #1. I'd go with the Blue Chip quarters for now, since all the other inlays are white (and the Motor City inlays are dark).

When do we get to see pics of set #2?

Agree with Aztar for $25's. A mixed set (IMO) is just that --- mixed! The PCA chips are already represented with the $1. Plus those Aztars are sweet!

edit - oh yeah, and the blue chip 1/4's FTW

The PCF members have spoken (thank you!) and I have listened. The Blue Chip Casino quarter won out unanimously over the Motor City quarter and the Aztar $25 won out over the PCA $25. This 700 set of near mint to mint chips is now playable and even though it may evolve / grow over time, I'm calling this first pass final.

Next steps:
1) put it into play
2) start on set #2!

(sorry for the average at best iPhone photos)

Just completed another full overhaul of set #1. The PCA Secondary $1's were replaced with the Terrible's so that I could move the PCA Secondary $25's in. The Silver Palace $5's were replaced with the Casablanca $5's because I think they went better with this particular set. And the AP $100's are gone, but maybe should have kept those. Oh well. I just need that one last barrel of PCA Secondary $25's to call this done, done. If I can't find those, I'll try to hunt down a barrel of the Aztar MO Secondary $100's because those would go great too (if you know anyone).

I'd like to thank @liftapint and @acl1904 for the quarters, @GrumpyCatMalaka and @courage for the Terrible's, @iBetOnEverything for the Casa's, @Th14 and @BGinGA for the PCA $25's, and @Mr. Cheese and @bentax1978 for general advice along the way.

I think these 4 chips really work well together and I love the 200/200/300/100 (okay, 80) breakdown. Enjoy!
