what other alleged "hobbyist" aka addicts, would actually have other hobbyist/addicts staring at an unopened shipping box with the anticipation of an 8 yr old at xmas time!!

congrats on bustin ur cherry and welcome on your first package of many more to come....(y)

the obligatory UPS girl post

I understand many have seen these time and again and In person. Pictures don't do these justice plus my camera phone and lighting is something to be desired but I can't resist

Anyway here is my very first set of high end chips, my Mardi Gras Casino's. I like to thank @Psypher1000 for spreading the love around and making these available. Very smooth excellent transaction and fast shipping.

These chips are just, well, awesome. Stack great, sound awesome, coloring is phenomenal and edges spots pull them together

There is a problem however. I should have just purchased all 3 sets to complete the racks because now I find myself with short stacks in some racks and that just seems weird to me. I prefer full racks of denoms. Is this normal? I also find myself desiring a cash set of these too. I suppose this craziness will pass

Hope you enjoy as I'm sure I will.

I got my set today too!!!

Just peeked into one of the boxes and opened the extras only cause I'm gonna wait til I'm alone at my table to take em all out like a cokefiend Smeagol with the Pulp Fiction briefcase.

edit: excuse my error, cokefiend Gollum*

Did you use the clamps to just oil the edges and let the oil seep in over time, or did you blot the faces as well? Great set!

awesome. i had a set of those mardi gras chips a while ago. a top 5 mold for sure (in my book anyway).

You obviously see my very special chip in the pic @links_slayer Actually received this first and has very special meaning to me as it was my first custom chip I have ever recieve from a PCF member. My plan is to make it my personal card guard and get it in a chip protection holder and display it. Of course I have plans to take another photo of it as per request and I want my photo to be special so look for that later

you used the clamps for what? o_O

The clamps I used for putting a barrel of chips together to oil just the edges. Not my good chips mind you just my China Clays. I lightly oil the edges, let them sit for awhile, unclamp then wipe down each chip with a soft cloth. Saw this method on here someplace and gave it a try and it works good for me but I know some would from on clamping chips together like this. I have had no issues and have done over 1000 chips like this

And I'm not saying my CC Pharoahs are bad chips, I love them and they are just great chips, but they didn't cost anything where close to my Mardi's so I may treat them differently

whatever works for you but i put about a dab about the size of a penny of mineral oil in my palm, rub my hands together and grab a barrel, rub the edges, set out on a cloth for a day then make sure they are dry and re reack them....i honestly think the clamp is useless for oil.....but clamps are great for baking warped chips

my opinion
