Intro
I've received my Horseshoe Cincinatti chips and I've created this thread to share some pictures, progress on the cleaning process, which fracs I've decided to use, etc...
Why Horseshoe Cincinnati ?
I've decided to buy Horseshoe Cincinatti chips for several reasons :
- They are one of the few Paulson sets which can still be bought - in quantity - at a good price ;
- I like the branding of the casino ;
- I like the movie "Cincinnati Kid", so it's nice to have a set from this city ;
- Even if they are faux-shaped inlays, I like the inlay shapes.
The breakdown
The set is mainly intented to be used for Texas Hold'Em No Limit games.
The game will be either a NL25 (.25 / .25) or NL50 (.25 / .50) game.
The set shall cover a full table (10 players).
So I decided to go with the following breakdown:
- $.25 x 100 (+ 10 spares)
- $1 x 200 (+ 10 spares incl. 1 very worn)
- $5 x 200 (+ 10 spares)
- $25 x 100 (+ 11 spares)
For the fracs, I've initially decided to go with Horseshoe Cincinnati T25 36mm. My choice went to these because they are solid and undersized, which I think is nice for fracs.
However, they are too close to the $25 than I would have expected. So I've chosen another chip for the fracs, still a solid 36mm: Horseshoe Cincinnati T1000. The labels have been produced by @Gear . For the fracs, I've decided to have plain labels (rather than "faux-shaped").
