I've been meaning to actually post some of my chip sets, but just haven't gotten around to it since I got here. No more procrastination!
These Paulsons were some of the first chips I picked up when I wanted to start putting together, you know, a more respectable playable set. I assembled the set a barrel at a time, and the overall experience was addictive. But that's not a new story around these parts, right?
I half-heartedly looked into adding onto this set in the last year, and noticed the prices have spiked since they aren't being produced anymore. It's definitely tempting to send them off to a new home, but then again it's a really great set. Plus, my group still plays with them often enough I can justify it.
These chips were the first non-dice chips my playing group had a chance to play with. It was like night and day, really. I love 'em.
When I first built the set we might have played a little small-stakes cash with them, but once I started branching out into other sets these became tourney-only.
I do have some strays here and there that aren't absolutely necessary for the set to be complete, so if any PCF-ers see something they could benefit from, shoot me a PM.
How can you not love the fun colors on these chips?
That's all I have for this set. I'll get some photos from my other chip sets up soon.
Question: So is everyone around here pretty much offloading these due to the spike in price they're now pulling in online? It's kind of crazy how much they seem to be asking on eBay right now -- and successfully, too. Or is anyone else out there holding onto a nice set of chips like me, at least for now?
