New Felt, help me decide between these two (11 Viewers)

Gorilla Gaming is helping me design a new felt for my table, before making it.

I've got the decision narrowed down to two options. I keep going back and forth on which way to go.

The cream color (lighter colored), I think will help brighten the room. Also, I think it will make the table "pop" more. On a negative side, it will take more work to keep clean/cleaning. I'm also not sure that it looks as good as the second option.

The Espresso version looks more classic to my eye. I think it will stand the test of time better. Its just so dark, and I'm afraid it will look too dark for the room.

Don’t know if it makes a big difference, what tone / brightness are your chips?

Are they muted CPC retro tones (I’d vote cream) or are they in your face kaleidoscope dayglo Tigers (then maybe darker felt).

I’ve no idea, but lean cream.

Cards would pop better on the espresso color. I might have a different opinion if I saw it IRL.

That is a concern. How the chips play against the color.

My main cash set is pretty bright

That is a real thought to consider

I'm edging toward cream for the contrast.

If you have excellent lighting, either one will do.

My chip set is very bright too and I love my dark topper. Cards and chips pop really well. I know mines busier than most though.

Gorilla gaming’s premium felt doesn’t produce deep/dark blacks so take that into account…

Espresso for me too. It seems to work better with the other colours of the felt.
