Hey all,

Joining the forum to hopefully learn more about the poker chip scene. I am looking to buy an affordable set for a home game I am starting and am hoping this forum can help me make that decision

Welcome to the forum!
An important Synod of this forum's Clergy :D is currently taking place in Minnesota!
"Affordable" has been redefined by practically every poor soul to have joined this forum:cool:
Read and see a lot, and, of course, get samples of whatever chips might interest you.

Hello and welcome!

This is a dangerous place. Your first definition of affordable will probably be around 15 to 25 cents a chip. And then you'll see some in the 0.35-0.45 range and say, "Yeah, I can definitely afford that." And then someone will show you beginner elite stuff in the 0.75-0.90 range, and you'll hesitantly step over that line. Then come the low-mid range Paulsons at 1.00-2.00, and before you know it, you'll be ordering a custom CPC set for an average 2.25 a chip.

Not that this has happened to me, or anything.

Haha yes I am definitely starting to figure that out!

We’re having a meetup in Minneapolis right now!

My father was from Mound Minn and moved to NY after Vietnam. I have a ton of cousins and family there that I’ve never met

Minnesota is a great place to be from, long winters require a lot of poker, or at least that's how I learned how to play.
