Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I’ve been playing poker for about 7 years. Up until a couple of years ago I hosted a weekly cash game with dice chips (don’t hold it against me) colloquially known as the deep stack kitchen game .

My living situation will be changing again which is going to give me the opportunity to begin hosting games again.

I am hoping to gain some knowledge in order to build a proper chip set.

Typically games are between 0.5/1 and 1/1 uncapped with 10k in play at times.

Looking forward to joining the forum.

Cheers!

Welcome! Greetings from Toronto. Feel free to reach out if you're looking to borrow samples of anything. Definitely cheaper than paying shipping from the US :(

Cash game or tournament? .50 and 10k on the same table....... ? I am rather confused.

What games are you looking to run?
what type of tournaments do you plan? do you have a set tourney structure or are you open to new ideas for a tourney from here?
How many players will be served by this chip set?
Do you want 1 chip set or two (cash/tourney)?
What budget do you have for this project?

Welcome aboard, some of this info will help us help you more

Hello and welcome, fellow Canuck!

Whereabouts are you?
Just outside Toronto, how about yourself?

Hey Phil!

It is strictly cash game, when I say 10k in play, I am referring to the value of chips in total. Hence the low stakes but deep stacked. We allow add-on to match chip leader at any time.

Normally we play 8-10 max

Budget can be flexible. I would like to keep it under $2,000.00 but I think that could change depending how deep I dive in to this forum!

Thank you!! That would be fantastic and I might just take you up on that

I'm almost smack dab in the middle of Greater Vancouver if you look at a map of municipalities.

Your cash game looks pretty big. You probably shouldn't play this as 0.50/1. 1/2 stakes would be better, and allows you to avoid expensive fracs.

600 chips with min 10k on $2000 budget gives more than $3 per chip average, which gives you a great selection of quality clay, indeed. Just need to get the right breakdown.

Welcome to PCF

0.50/$1 with usually $10k in play is really huge, it felt more like a $1/$3 - $2/5 stake game with that much cash in play.

Maybe ur group can consider upping the stake and getting set breakdown of

$1 x 100
$5 x 200
$25 x 200
$100 x 100

This will give you a total bank of $16,100

or swapping $100x 20 for $500 x 20

for a deeper bank if you think it better suited for your game in future
