Hey, all! Just joined, in the SWFL area; I've been away from the hobby for quite a while, but getting back into it as I collect $1 chips from casinos I visit, and have friends and family bring me ones from where they find them. Also kind of looking to play more poker, ideally away from the outrageous rakes taken by our local cardroom. I found this forum when looking at chips to recommend for a friend's casino night that she's hosting in a couple weeks (turns out she doesn't want to spend the money on a good set, so we'll be using the dice poker chips that one can find at Walmart etc).

Edit: Ok I see the dice chips part. You are not going to find anything, anywhere that matches that price. They are something like $20 for a set.

Yeah, she kind of balked when I said a set of 500 would be $50 or so, so I assume spending $100-250 on 500 more decent chips would be right out
Maybe just a set for me, then. I am kind of looking at China clay fantasy casino chips; Unicorn, or maybe the slugged King's Casino chips. Probably gonna order some samples or a single tube of them to get a feel for them.
Welcome to PCF! I highly recommend getting samples first before you commit to a set.
