Hey everyone,
I’m excited to join the Poker Chip Forum after lurking for a few years! Even though I haven't posted, I have been using the knowledge here to guide my own custom projects. I got into poker a while back with friends, where we’d have some fun games at 10c/20c stakes. It wasn’t long before I started to fall in love with the game, and by the time I was at university, I was running the poker society there during my degree—lots of good memories and some great games.
While I enjoy the occasional tournament, I’ve always preferred grinding cash games. That said, I absolutely love hosting friendly low-stakes games with friends or anyone looking to have some fun without the pressure. It’s always great to see people getting into poker in a relaxed, welcoming environment when the beers are flowing.
Over the years, I’ve also dabbled in creating some custom poker gear. One project was making my own dealer button out of sterling silver using a laser engraver—definitely a conversation piece! I’ve also crafted some custom $1k plaques from brass, which turned out better than I could have hoped. Recently, I finished one of my proudest projects yet - a hot stamping project for poker chips, and I’m looking forward to sharing the process and results with all of you here.
I love learning new techniques and seeing how others bring their own projects to life, so I’m really looking forward to being part of this community. If anyone has questions or would like to swap ideas or experiences, feel free to reach out!
