Incidentally my usual strategy for snappers, assuming they can't be bought outright and I'm in the mood to play blackjack, is to acquire them by betting $5 and surrendering when called for by basic strategy. I'll never surrender just to get a snapper unless I'm literally being pulled from the chair by my wife, but usually within 10 minutes or so I can gain a couple.

Frequently the max rake per hand is physically listed on the tables, and many times its either $3 or $4 so a fiver wouldn't work in those situations.
