Well I am going through them and found some I am not really happy with. I'll get with them and see what we can do.

Here is a picture of one of them. I purchased 200 and knew the hot stamps were worn but I have over 20% of them that are warped. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet.

I know you paid a nice premium for hotstamped quarters. My buddy just bought some nice ones from mikko and it wasn't cheap. Depending on how these were advertised/described condition-wise, I think warped is a major issue. If the issue can't be resolved, I'd be talking with Mikko about a return. Just my 2c. I hope they work out. They look great (well, at least the one you posted looks good).

I have an email in to him as we speak. He is aware it is coming because I messaged him through his site.

that chip you took a picture of is great looking. bummer the others didn't work out. I know you were excited about those at the Post

I will be doing some Paulson low temp flattening in a few months. Flat clamps + Ceramic blanks + low heat = flat chips, at least that's what the theory says. Since the ultrasonic cleaning worked incredibly well, I'm 90% sure the flattening method will also get dialed in after the @slisk250 RitR meet-up. I'll refresh the chip flattening posts once I finish it up. Some past threads:

I just won an auction for 21 of them. Haven't got them yet so I don't know the condition but you are welcome to them.

I really wanted to use these and I will not be able to

David, unfortunately warping of hot-stamped THC chips (especially older ones) is not uncommon, usually due to improper storage (temp and humidity) over the years.

Fortunately, flattening them is not that difficult of a process. Don't give up hope on these just yet.

I thought about trying that but there are some that are faded along with others that have mold. I might just stay with the Gold Coast fracs and go after the $25 chips.

We can practice with some at the Rumble. I have a few warped Joker's Wild that can be test dummies.

Send them my way !!!!! I'll fix them....and then use them....

Retired, have allllll the time I need, (When my Wife lets me)
