I’m new to online poker. I like to play in person way more because it’s more of a social hobby for me. But I’d like to get better and I figured online is a good way to see hands.

I joined yesterday and it seems decent. Definitely saw hands. Somehow I was dealt 9-7 for 3 hands in a row.

Anyway. Is this really new, or did they only combine different jurisdictions under one pool?

Don't know if it's new or not.

Being from NJ and liking poker, I do casually follow the online poker news here and there. And I thought NV MI and NJ players were already able to play together. But perhaps I was mistaken, maybe the law passed to allow them to do so but it's just now being implemented.

For the heck of it, I decided to try to log into my WSOP account and I could not. I had to make a new one - so at least that part is true.

This may be bad, as I'm historically terrible at online poker and now I find myself wanting to play... uh oh.

They changed the software and handled it very poorly making people have to create new accounts. Although they did move my old balance to new account without me asking shortly after creation. Anyway i am not a fan of the new software so far and there does not seem to be any working 9 person tables and I do not care for 6 so for me personally it has been a bummer thus far.

When Pokerstars went live in Michigan, you needed to make a new account under PokerstarsMI. However, eventually the old pokerstars.net account gave me the option of depositing.

Update - I put it another $40 and now I have $300 (+$60), thinking I should cash out haha

lol I was up 50 net now I’m down 100 net.

I’ve definitely noticed. Sometimes I’ll get the same hand 3 times in a row. Or Aces very consecutive in a row. Kinda sus
