Can I get some insight on the @TheChipRoom sales? I’ve looked at some of the past because, if I can, I’d like to build towards a tournament set. When Jim posts the sets for sale, are there multiple sets available or is it usually just one?

Not always a single set. Some are pre-built sets, often there are chips available by the rack. It's all over the map and based on what Jim is able to get and make available to us.

@Eriks is right though, on the day things go on sale, there's usually a mad rush for the prime pickings when they become available. Many good finds and sets can often be had even after the original stampede.

Usually, there are several sets but you need to buy very quickly.

Since Jim's last sale was in November, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new sale started at the end of March or in April.

So, save your money.

In case anybody has confusion about the word “set,” used in this thread - chip room sales usually have tens of thousands up to hundreds of thousands of chips to offer. Sometimes the chips are offered as individuals (buy however many of each denomination you want) and sometimes they’re offered as sets, such as a 500 chip tournament set or a 1,000 chip cash set, where the buyer gets a fixed breakdown of those chips (there may be 10-20 or more or less of each set available.)

Usually a chiproom sale will feature only chips from a single casino (is that what was meant by set?) but sometimes a sale might offer whatever chips are left over from a couple or a few casinos.

Thanks. I was meaning set as in tourney/cash and not in reference to the single casino.
