Anyone have pictures of nice casino chips in play? Compared to these they should be better. This is a tournament that just started at the closest casino to me.

Almost any picture on this site is nicer than those. Unless you're into slugged hotstamps K-Mart dice chips - in which case, you're in heaven.

Hello mate. Did you mean to title this thread - "Worst Casino Chips You've Seen"?

Those greens look they have fallen into a vat of acid. I would wash thoroughly when you are done. Good luck in the tourney :-)

Old School King's Castle TR Kings from Vegas. Always thought so, always will. I never had the opportunity to see them in the casino though.

Best chips I've personally seen in a casino? Bellagio's 1st edition chips. Simple, elegant. classy.

Man, I have GOT to scrape some cash together and go up and harvest some Flamingos before they do something stupid.

For me, as sets, across the board:

1. Vineyard, Paulsons

2. Divi Carina Bay, St. Croix, BJs.

3. Harrah's New Orleans, original chips. Stunning.

4. Treasures, Renton, WA

5. Surfside, Texas, Chipcos

6. Mirage, Vegas, 1996 issue.

7. MGM Grand, Vegas, 1996-97 issue.

They already have. The flamingo changed over to solids with NO spots about 3 years ago IIRC
You're right, I just rechecked. I saw that the last spotted ones were 2010 and assumed they were safe. Replaced in 2011. Hi, I'm new!

Just chopped 4 ways, so made a little money. I offer each time to buy them some chips but they are stuck on what they have.

HHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The owners of that casino must be so proud.

I just don't understand what I'm looking at. Do the white dots protrude from the edge of the green chips?

Those chips are so terrible I'd stay home. Scary throwing star chips!

Those green chips almost look like someone tried to clean them by putting them in some type of tumbler. The green material is softer than the white, so contact between chips eroded the edges. They're uniformly worn - not some worn more than others.

If the greens happen to be the workhorse of the set they'll get dirtier than the others or show their filth faster than the rest. Or they started with the greens, saw the results and wisely decided to stop.

At a local cardroom I play at they bought a ton of Unicorns from ChipCo a long time ago for their tournaments and had them hotstamped. They cleaned them aggressively a couple of years back and all of the hotstamps quickly eroded off the chips. Now you can easily tell between the older chips and the newer add-ons they picked up later.
